LG's latest flagship the G3 is one of the Classiest looking smartphone and LG had no lack of smartphones this year, releasing phones like the
LG G3 , G3 Beat , G3 Vista , and more in rapid succession throughout
the year. As we draw closer to IFA 2014, the company is going
official with some of the products it wants to show off there as well,
as was evidenced by the unveiling of the LG G Watch R yesterday.
Today, the LG G3 Stylus smartphone has been officially announced
to further buff up the company’s impressive Android portfolio.
The G3 Stylus has a 5.5-inch qHD (quarter, not quad) display in a
body designed similarly to LG’s other 2014 Androids – the design
language is LG’s “Floating Arc.” The distinguishing feature of the G3
Stylus as opposed to the other LG phones is that there’s a
Rubberdium stylus included in the package, which is “perfect for
effortless jotting, doodling and sketching with precision.” There are
also some pre-loaded productivity apps to make use of the stylus
better.
LG’s Android skin is also present here in full capacity, with features
like QuickMemo+, the Smart Keyboard, and Knock Code headlining.
Some of LG’s more premium specs are included in the device, such
as a 13MP camera with proprietary UX features such as Touch &
Shoot and Gesture Shot, and there’s a removable 3,000 mAh battery
too. There’s a quad-core 1.3 GHz chipset, 8GB of ROM (with
MicroSD expansion), 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The phone will be rolled out in 3G markets, starting with Brazil in
September. Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS will see the
phone at a later date. It’ll be initially available in Black, White, and
Gold, and pricing details are unconfirmed at the moment. We’ll be
going hands-on with the G3 Stylus at IFA in Berlin, so be sure to
watch for that coverage.
