MediaTek Steps ahead With it's New 64 bit MT6795 for high end smartphones.

MediaTek flaunts its new 64-bit LTE SoC portfolio with
the launch of the MT6795 for high-end smartphones. The latest addition
by the company is a '64-bit True octa-core LTE smartphone system
on chip (SoC)' and MediaTek is touting the 2K display support as its
highlight.
As per MediaTek , the MT6795 is the company's first 64-bit
LTE-enabled True Octa-core SoC targeted for the high end
smartphone segment, which can hit speeds of up to 2.2GHz. The
MediaTek MT6795 SoC features the company's new CorePilot
technology, which provides multi-processor performance and
thermal control, as well as offers dual-channel LPDDR3 clocked at
933MHz in a smartphone. The first MediaTek MT6795-based
devices are expected to be commercially available by the end of
2014.
The chipmaker has listed some of the key features of the MT6795,
including 2K (2560x1600 pixels) on device display support; 120Hz
mobile display with Response Time Enhancement and ClearMotion
Technology; 480fps 1080p super-slow motion video feature support;
new integrated, low-power hardware support for H.265 Ultra HD
(4K2K) video record and playback; support for Rel. 9, Category 4
FDD and TDD LTE (150Mbps/50Mbps); support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac,
Bluetooth, FM, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, ANT+, and multi-mode
wireless charging support.
Commenting on the announcement, General Manager of the
MediaTek Smartphone Business Unit, Jeffrey Ju, said, "MediaTek
has once again demonstrated leading engineering capabilities by
delivering breakthrough technology and time-to-market advantage
that enable limitless opportunities for our partners and end users,
while setting the bar even higher for our competition. With a
complete and inclusive 64-bit LTE SoC product portfolio, we are
firmly on track to lead the industry in delivering premium mobile
user experiences for years to come."
MediaTek's new 64-bit LTE SoC product portfolio now includes the
newly announced MT6795, which is mainly targeted for premium
smartphone segment; MT6752 for mainstream users, and MT6732
for entry level users. The company unveiled the MT6732 64-bit LTE
SoC, at MWC this year.
Earlier this month, Samsung launched its new quad-core Exynos
ModAP, which is its first generation of integrated LTE Modem-AP
solution with advanced 4G LTE connectivity, built on 28nm High-K
Metal Gate Logic Process (HKMG) process.
The new MT6795 will challenge the Mobile chip giant Qualcomm which  in April introduced two next-generation
64-bit Snapdragon chips for flagship  smartphones and tablets, the
Snapdragon 808 and Snapdragon 810.
