Samsung announces their new Curved Smartwatch Gear S

It seems This IFA will be dominated by the Android wears!
it’s mere minutes after LG
announced its G Watch R officially , and yet another bomshell from
Korea has just been chucked at us. Today the Samsung Gear S has
gone official as one of the world’s first 3G-capable smartwatches in
the world.
The Samsung Gear S features both regular wristwatch features and
those allowing you to make use of the 3G connectivity. There’s a 2-
inch curved Super AMOLED display and a flexible band, and you can
send messages right from it.
The Gear S offers WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity, so this is
easily the most connected major smartwatch we’ve ever seen come
to market. The Gear S will let you pair with a smartphone and
choose whether you’d like to receive data through Bluetooth or via
3G. There’s an on-screen keyboard, S Voice, and the ability to make
and receive calls from your wrist. All in all, this is a pretty feature-
packed smartwatch.
On the extensions side of things, there’s navigation from HERE, a
Financial Times app, and more. And health features are also
included, with built-in GPS and other sensors, and S Health
integration.
Also announced by Samsung today is the Gear Circle, a smartphone
accessory that lets users receive calls, listen to music, and make
voice commands “in style.” It clasps around a user’s neck when not
in use through the use of magnets.
Both products will be available through a variety of retailers come
August.
