Samsung reportedly preparing a Smartwatch with Finger print scanner.

Samsung never lets to say us that it just doesn't know how to react with the latest product launches and other gossips swirling the gallery of Tech. After all, this is the Giant which is going to do whatever spontaneously to to Take the Crown!
And as per the SmartWatches undergoing great competition, Samsung wants to Crack at SmartWatches for yet another time. As Samsung has not gone unnoticed with smartwatches in the past 12 months, with the arrival of the
Galaxy Gear, Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and now the Gear S, now they are Crawling towards something even better than the current line of their Gear line of SmartWatches.

According to Business Week Korea, which is citing a “high-ranking officer at Samsung Electronics”, the Korean giant is working on a new smartwatch that will flaunt a fingerprint sensor on the watch
itself as well as a payment solution.
The fingerprint sensor will presumably be for various security purposes, but outside of that payment solution that’s rumored to go with it, it seems fairly redundant on a smartwatch. It’s rumored that Samsung and PayPal will be working closely together, which makes sense when you think that Apple has blocked the NFC chip in the iPhone 6 off from anyone other than themselves. Besides, PayPal is pretty desperate get a foothold in the
mobile payments space and what better way to do that than work with a mobile giant like Samsung? This payments solution is expected to expand to as much as 50 nations worldwide.

According to the source mentioned above, Samsung will be set to launch this
new smartwatch during Mobile World Congress in February next year, the same
place where Samsung launch the Gear 2. Right now though, this is just a rumor, so there’s no telling what will come of these devices when or if they launch next
spring. After all, that’s a long way off, but with Apple making such bold claims with Apple Pay and the Apple Watch, there's no reason to be surprised if the next Samsung smartwatch was more than a little different from this year’s efforts.
And if the rumor comes alive, it'll be the new revolution in the SmartWatche segment.

Apple Watch: an Apple device for your wrist

Apple announced the highly anticipated Apple Watch at its event last night. The Watch will available early next year and comes in three different variants Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition. Apple even announced two different sizes for its watch and dozen of interchangeable bands to go with it.
The three different variants of the Apple Watch have different housings as well. Apple has used materials like stainless
steel, aluminium and 18-carat gold for the housing of the three variants.

n Apple developed S1 chip powers the Apple Watch and it is charged via a magnetic charging port. The watch has an integrated heart rate sensor at its back to double as a fitness tracker. Apps like Sketch, Walkie-Talkie, Tap and Heartbeat have been added besides the features we've seen on Android smartwatches.

The Apple Watch features two new innovations, Digital crown and Taptic engine to make the smartwatch experience different from current and announced Android smartwatches. The Digital Crown is reminiscent of what we see on mechanical watches but in the Apple Watch thecrown is used for zooming in and out or scrolling through content. The Digital Crown also works as the home button of the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch also features a Taptic Engine which is a linear actuator inside the device that produces haptic feedback. So, whenever you get a notification, theWatch 'taps' your wrist, instead of vibrating like other smartwatches.

The Apple Watch will be out next year in 2015. It will compete against Android wear smartwatches from various manufacturers.

Samsung Gear S

Samsung’s shown itself to be entirely unafraid when it comes to
smartwatches. It’s willing to try any size, any spec, any combination
of features in an attempt to figure out what consumers want in a
wearable. Its latest try, the Gear S , is a combination of Samsung’s
newest and best ideas — and a couple of ideas it’ll soon leave by the
roadside as well.
The Gear S is not designed to replace your smartphone, I’m told. It’s
designed to let you leave it at home, though, or in the other room.
Its built-in connectivity means that even when it’s far away from
your phone it can still send and receive messages, and get turn-by-
turn directions. The Gear S runs Tizen — Samsung says the Gear
Store has 1,000 apps in it — and can do almost everything without a
phone. The Gear Manager app still requires your phone, and you’re
not exactly going to want to send emails on the tiny QWERTY keys
on the Gear S, but this device generally has no need for your
smartphone.
The watch itself is impressively made, with a 2-inch curved OLED
display that looks great from any angle. Waterproof, black or white,
thick and heavy, it’s like a larger Gear Fit. A much larger Gear Fit.
It’s designed to curl around your wrist, and it’s long enough that it
does exactly that; it doesn’t feel like a watch so much as a cuff. It’s
a computer on your wrist, and it feels like one. The big, thick bands
that come with the device make it feel even larger, but thankfully the
Gear S has swappable bands so you can slim it down a little.
In a few minutes of using it, the Gear S felt fast and responsive. Its
1.0GHz processor is clearly up to the task of swiping through
notifications, and even tapping out quick responses and tracking
steps. It’s also remarkably more powerful than your average
smartwatch, able to actually read entire emails and see all your
workout and sleep information in one place. This is the rare
smartwatch that’s truly independent, not always punting you back
to your phone. Samsung offers a handful of nice-looking
watchfaces, a heart-rate sensor, and a battery it claims will last two
days.

Availability : The Gear S will be available in October in Korea, though its US fate
is still very much uncertain. And this almost certainly isn’t the
pinnacle of smartwatch design, for Samsung or the market at large.
It’s still too big for most people, and still a little awkward to use. But
curved screens feel ever more like a good idea, and it’s exciting to
see wearables become more and more independently functional.
There’s a lot for Samsung to take away from its latest adventure in
smartwatches — and a lot left to improve upon.

Asus ZenWatch launched at IFA!

As We knew that ASUS was preparing to enter the Smartwatch segment an with new device called the ZenWatch, as the company itself was hard at
work teasing the gadget .
IFA 2014 might officially start only on the
5th of September, but ASUS has kicked off the show with a special
event where the company made the ZenWatch official.
The front is taken up by a 1.63-inch AMOLED screen with 320 x 320
resolution, pretty much like on the Samsung Gear Live, among the
first wearables to ship with Android Wear. The similarities with
Samsung’s offering don’t stop at the screen and resolution, but also
extend to the processor: the ZenWatch is powered by the
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, clocked at 1.2GHz. Also inside the
case you’ll find 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a
1.4Wh battery. Bluetooth 4.0 is also present, and the entire build is
rated IP55 for splash protection.
In terms of design, as seen in the image above, and video embedded
below, the ZenWatch is packaged in a curved stainless-steel case,
on top of which a piece of curved Gorilla Glass 3 is offering screen
protection. The strap itself is made out of leather, with a simple
release latch.
The ASUS ZenWatch also comes with a set of preloaded apps and
functions, like “ Watch Unlock” – allows you to unlock your phone by
touching the watch’s face — “Tap Tap” — double tap the watch to
execute a predefined function — as well as others (some of which
are pretty self explanatory), like “Cover to Mute,” “Find My Phone,”
“Remote Camera” and “Presentation Control”.
A heart rate sensor is also present and ASUS’ own wellness
manager on the ZenWatch can gather your health data, including
heart rate, as well as step counts (from the pedometer).
September/October is when the ZenWatch should be available (late
Q3, early Q4), and it will go for at €199, which is roughly $260.

Samsung announces their new Curved Smartwatch Gear S

It seems This IFA will be dominated by the Android wears!
it’s mere minutes after LG
announced its G Watch R officially , and yet another bomshell from
Korea has just been chucked at us. Today the Samsung Gear S has
gone official as one of the world’s first 3G-capable smartwatches in
the world.
The Samsung Gear S features both regular wristwatch features and
those allowing you to make use of the 3G connectivity. There’s a 2-
inch curved Super AMOLED display and a flexible band, and you can
send messages right from it.
The Gear S offers WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity, so this is
easily the most connected major smartwatch we’ve ever seen come
to market. The Gear S will let you pair with a smartphone and
choose whether you’d like to receive data through Bluetooth or via
3G. There’s an on-screen keyboard, S Voice, and the ability to make
and receive calls from your wrist. All in all, this is a pretty feature-
packed smartwatch.
On the extensions side of things, there’s navigation from HERE, a
Financial Times app, and more. And health features are also
included, with built-in GPS and other sensors, and S Health
integration.
Also announced by Samsung today is the Gear Circle, a smartphone
accessory that lets users receive calls, listen to music, and make
voice commands “in style.” It clasps around a user’s neck when not
in use through the use of magnets.
Both products will be available through a variety of retailers come
August.

LG announced G watch R.

LG is giving a tough competition for this IFA event, as it looks like it’s saving nothing in terms of device launches for the
IFA 2014 trade show next week. It’s already gone official with the L
Fino and L Bello entry-level smartphones, the midrange G3 Stylus ,
and is now announcing for real the LG G Watch R, a Moto 360
competitor if there’s ever been one.
The smartwatch is allegedly the first watch-style wearable in the
world to be using circular P-OLED display tech and utilize 100% of
the watch face (sorry Moto 360, that black bar at the bottom is
really costing you). Speaking of that display, it’s a 1.3-inch panel.
And while we’re on specs, we may as well give a rundown of the
basic features here – with a full-blown specs post following.
There’s a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400, 4GB of storage, and 512MB of
RAM, among other premium specs (well, for a smartwatch).
Of course, this watch runs on Google’s Android Wear platform, with
a UI we’re assuming is probably quite similar to the one that can be
found on the current-generation LG G Watch . There’s support for
the optical heart rate sensor feature in Android Wear built-in to the
watch, too, for you fitness buffs.
One of the major selling points of the G Watch R is that metal,
circular body. LG takes pride in the elegance of the stainless steel-
framed watch, and says it has an “artisanal elegance.” There’s a
user-replaceable 22mm calf skin leather watchband too, which we’re
sure many of you are glad to hear.
And lastly: the price. Just kidding. The G Watch R will be available
in the early fourth quarter in a variety of markets, but pricing and
availability details will be announced at a later date. We’ll have two
members of our team checking the thing out at IFA next week.

Samsung to Unveil SIM equipped Gear Solo this IFA

As Asus, LG and Motorola launching their new Smartwatch, Samsung is not far behind from the competition.
Samsung will reportedly lift the lid on its SIM-equipped Gear Solo
smartwatch at the IFA trade show next month.
SamMobile 's sources claim that the firm's latest wearable with sport
a round face akin to the upcoming Moto 360.

Patent design for Samsung's Gear Solo
The inclusion of SIM support in a smartwatch would enable users to
make phone calls from the device, but it is yet to be revealed how
Samsung has tackled the issue of heavy battery drain.
It is unclear which operating system the Gear Solo will run, but its
standalone nature suggests it will not be powered by Google's
Android Wear, which is designed to work in conjunction with a
phone.
Samsung has launched three Tizen-powered versions of its Gear
smartwatch to date, and one Android Wear model in the form of the
Galaxy Gear Live.
The Gear Solo is expected to be announced alongside the Galaxy
Note 4 at Samsung's Unpacked press conference on September 3

LG's Teases Their First Rounded SmartWatch

As The Moto 360 and Asus to launch their Rounded Android Wears,LG is no Exception to enter the Category.
LG's G Watch has only been out for two months, but it appears the
smartwatch will soon be getting a face lift.
The South Korean electronics giant is expected to unveil a
smartwatch refresh called LG G Watch R that features a more
elegant round screen next week, according to a new video hosted on
LG's YouTube channel . The brief video, which was first spotted by
Engadget , is light on details but features images of a classic circular
watch face and indicates the new smartwatch will be unveiled in
Berlin at IFA 2014, Europe's largest consumer electronics trade
show.
In addition to taking its design cues from traditional wrist
timepieces, the new LG smartwatch appears to be following the lead
of Motorola, which was teased at Google's I/O developer conference
in June. That handset, which is due to be officially launched at an
event held in Chicago on September 4 , also features a round face
and is expected to cost $250 and feature a 1.5-inch backlit LCD
touch screen.
Launched in June, the original G Watch marked Google's first foray
into the smartwatch arena, a business that has seen a lot of
entrants and interest, but few sales. Google is attempting to create a
level of consistency with the next wave of smartwatches with its
Android Wear operating system -- a version of Android customized
for wearable products.

Jaguar E-Type limited edition lightweight watches from Bremont

JAGUAR AND BREMONT LAUNCH BESPOKE WRISTWATCH

On the 12th August 2014, Jaguar announced further news in its relationship with the Bremont Watch Company and revealed one of six unique wristwatches to be offered to customers of the six new Lightweight E-types to be built by Jaguar Heritage.

Drawing inspiration directly from the car, the 43mm watch features a black dial based on the look of a Lightweight RPM gauge and featuring a subtle ‘red zone’ quadrant. The chamfered hour and minute hands replicate the instrument’s tachometer needle, while the chassis number of the relevant car is printed at the six o’clock position.

The central band of the white gold case is made from aluminium saved during the construction of the new Lightweight body panels and will be anodised to match the colour of the car it is designed to complement.
Other touches include a winding crown which is engraved with the pattern of the period-correct Dunlop racing tyres which will be fitted to the continuation Lightweights, and straps made from the same Connolly leather which is being used for the interior trim.

Turning the watch over reveals a further reference to the car in the form of the automatic winding rotor - visible through a sapphire crystal case back - which takes the form of an exquisite miniaturisation of an alloy-spoked Lightweight steering wheel, complete with authentic wooden rim. The back of each watch also carries the engine number of the car it is paired with.
The new cars are the ‘missing’ six vehicles from the ‘Special GT E-type’ project, which originally started in February 1963 with the objective of building 18 cars. Only 12 of the aluminium-bodied Lightweight E-types were eventually built and the remaining six designated chassis numbers having lain dormant, until now. The six new cars will carry those original, historic Lightweight E-type chassis numbers.

Asus Teases it's first SmartWatch!

Earlier this year at Google I/O, reports suggested that Asus was working
on its own Android Wear smartwatch , to be launched in September
with a lower price point than existing options. Today, Asus posted a
teaser on Twitter revealing that it will indeed be introducing
something new at IFA in Berlin on Sept. 3, and the graphic suggests
it will indeed be a smartwatch.
The Asus device will be somewhere between $99 and $149,
according to our source, and will boast AMOLED display tech and
otherwise be close hardware-wise to the existing LG G Watch and
Samsung Gear Live devices, both of which are also powered by
Android Wear.
The launch will be part of a busy season of new hardware coming
this fall, and early September is shaping up to be especially crazy.
Motorola plans to launch a slew of new hardware on September 4 ,
and of course Apple’s new iPhone will debut September 6, which
will probably suck most of the air out of the room for anyone else
looking to launch new gear around that time.
Asus will also be facing off against the Motorola Moto 360, the
round-faced Android Wear smartwatch announced previously but
looks ready to actually hit consumer wrists beginning in early
September.
